2016 Cider Riot 1763 West Country - 500 mL (6.9% ABV)
2016 Gold Medal Winner (runner-up Portland International Cider Cup)
1763 description: Our tribute to those who stand up against the status quo, 1763 commemorates the year of the Cider Riots in the English West Country, when cider lovers rose up and overthrew the nefarious Prime Minister Bute who imposed a tax on cider. 1763 is inspired by the West Country ciders that warranted such passion. Yamhill County grown Yarlington Mill, Harry Masters Jersey, Dabinett, & Kingston Black apples lend robust tannins, and rich flavours to a cider that’s worth fighting for.
We invite you to cellar 1763 for special occasions, and recommend pairing it with bold blue and cheddar style cheeses. It is the perfect accompaniment for a traditional ploughman’s lunch. Best served at 46-52 F, 1763 pours a hazy golden amber, and will open up as it warms.
