Shipping & Delivery

Shipping Cider | Available Across U.S.

States we ship to: We are able to ship cider to most, but not all, states. Currently we cannot ship to the following states: Utah, Rhode Island, Delaware, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas. All other states, we can ship to. If you live in one of those states and are within a reasonable drive of a city in another state, we can ship your box to be held for pickup at a FedEx or UPS center near you. Email us with your home/business shipping address and we'll give you some options. 

Best shipping value: Ship to a business address to save ~$5. Shipping prices vary by weight and destination. The bigger the box, the less you pay in shipping on a per-bottle basis. We ship in 1, 3, 4, 6, and 12 unit boxes - order in those quantities for the best shipping value. The size of the box matters as much as the weight, so don't leave empty slots in your bottle box! Orders of multiple boxes do usually result in more efficient shipping costs. 

Adult Signature Required: Someone 21+ with valid I.D. must be present at the time of delivery to sign for the cider. FedEx/UPS will make attempts over 2-3 days to deliver to you before they will either a) hold the package locally for you to pickup, or b) return the package to us. 

Delivery Timing: If you don't work from home, we recommend you ship to a business address where someone is available to sign for the delivery. If you're worried about timing of delivery at all, we highly recommend shipping your cider to be held at a local FedEx/UPS location (e.g. FedEx Print & Ship Center, or FedEx inside Walgreens, Dollar General, etc.). You'll have 5 days from it's arrival to pick up at your convenience. Place your order using your normal shipping address, then reply to the order confirmation email asking us to hold your package at a local FedEx/UPS. 

Weather Delays: We don't recommend shipping during periods of extreme weather. If your area has weather of concern, please contact us and we can hold your order. Most of the ciders we carry are small batch products in limited supply, so we recommend placing your order right away - we'll hold it back for you if we're worried about extreme heat or cold. 

Other Shipping FYIs: We cannot ship to PO Boxes or AFO/FPO addresses. Re-delivery and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping Schedule:

Cider orders placed anytime Friday through the weekend typically ship out on Monday, as will most orders placed before Noon PST on Monday. All orders placed Tuesday-Thursday usually ship out within 1-2 business days. As soon as your ciders leaves our shop, you'll receive an email with tracking information.

Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost including overnight or 2nd Day Air delivery. Please contact us to get exact pricing quotes and delivery time options (cider@pressthenpress.com)

Local Pickup (currently Seattle only):

FREE pickup is available our Warehouse in the Ravenna/Wedgwood area in Northeast Seattle (usually available same day), or from Makeda & Mingus in the Greenwood/Phinney Ridge neighborhood in Northwest Seattle (usually available within 1 week). No minimum order. We will contact you when your cider is ready for pickup.

Makeda & Mingus address is 153 N 78th St, Seattle, WA 98103. M&M is generally open from 7AM-5PM, all week. Please support this lovely cafe by grabbing yourself a coffee or beverage when picking up your ciders, or join them for one of their Thursday dinners. 

We are working to partner with additional businesses throughout the Seattle area as pickup sites. Please contact us if you have any suggestions! We would love to find someone to partner with in West Seattle, and in the Capitol Hill/CD area. We would also like to find a business on the East Side (Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland area). 

Local Delivery (Seattle only... East Side soon?):

We offer delivery to your home or office. At checkout, you must select shipping and enter in your address. Then it will give you the options to have your product mailed, or delivered. Delivery fees are minimal and range from $5-10 depending on order size (more cider = lower delivery fee) and how far from our office you're located. 

Please be patient with local delivery timing. Depending on what part of town you're in, we may only deliver every 2-3 weeks. In-store pickup at our warehouse is recommended if your order is time sensitive. Please contact us if you need delivery more urgently, or on a specific date. If you order a lot of cider and/or make a generous donation to City Fruit at checkout, we'll do our best to rush your order. 

The more customers we have in a given neighborhood placing orders, the less we'll need to charge for local delivery. We will waive or refund delivery fees if we get enough orders in your neighborhood, so please tell your neighbors about our cider shop! We'll give them a discount on their first order, and you a gift for your support.

Live Somewhere Else in Washington State?

We are open to making periodic drop-offs within a reasonable drive from Seattle. It's only reasonable for us to do so with enough customer orders. Please feel free to spread the word, or if you want to gather a group of friends for a cider drop off, email us, and we'll help coordinate. We'd love to find enough customers to allow for monthly or quarterly cider drop-offs in Pierce and Snohomish counties. Where else? You tell us! cider@pressthenpress.com
