Rootwood Cider - Pollinator Cider (750 mL)
Rootwood Cider - Pollinator Cider (750 mL)
Rootwood Cider's Polinator Series features this annual, small-batch release made from a blend of apple varieties commonly planted as pollinators to support the main varieties grown in apple orchards, and local honey.
Planted to attract honey bees in Spring, Winter Banana apples and Manchurian Crab apples have a history as pollinators in local orchards. This cider celebrates the essential role of pollinators and honey bees with a blend of cider made from pollinator apples, infused with local honey. Featuring Manchurian Crabapples, Winter Banana apples, and Winesap apples. This unfiltered cider may appear hazy, but is safe to drink.
Cyser: A cider made with a blend of apples and honey.
One of our favorite ciders from Rootwood!
Why we love Rootwood Cider: Rootwood Cider makes exceptional ciders from right near the heart of the Apple Capital of the World. Using fruit grown on their family's estate orchard in Lake Chelan, Washington - this fifth generation apple family makes some of Washington State's best ciders. Run by three sisters - Emily, Kate, and Anna Koenig - in a region that is well-known today for its wine but with historical roots in apple-growing, the Koenig sisters are keeping their family's 100+ year apple farming traditions alive through cider - cheers to that!
