Garden Path Fermentation - The Local Harvest Cider (500 mL)
Garden Path Fermentation - The Local Harvest Cider (500 mL)
Garden Path Fermentation's The Local Harvest Cider is made from a blend of 20+ varietals of heirloom cider apples grown by the WSU research orchard in Mt Vernon, Washington. This release is from fruit harvested in the fall of 2024. Naturally (wild) fermented with native yeast in oak, and blended and packaged a few weeks before it's recent release (winter 2025).
It’s crisp, fruity, and dry, with a lingering finish that brings you right back to the orchard.
About Garden Path Fermentation: Located in the beautiful Skagit Valley in Northwest Washington, with its uniquely fertile soils and cool, temperate climate, Garden Path Fermentation is one of very few producers in the world that’s able to make beer, wine, cider, and mead, all using ingredients sourced from our own backyard, and may be the only one to do so using only native yeast fermentation. While most breweries struggle to make a drinkable cider, Garden Path's thoughtful use of fruit in some of their wild ales and their focus on native yeast fermentation results in some really nice ciders. Most of their apples come from the cider research orchard grown nearby by Washington State University. Their tasting room in Burlington is well worth a visit - not only to sample your way through their delicious offerings, but their bottle shop includes one of the greatest selections of cider and craft beer you'll find nearly anywhere.
