Dragon's Head Cider - Airlie Red Cider (750 mL)
Dragon's Head Cider - Airlie Red Cider (750 mL)
Dragon's Head Cider's Airlie Red is a limited release, single-varietal cider made 100% from the Airlie Red apple. The Airlie Red is a red-fleshed apple, originally discovered in Oregon's Willamette Valley. It has a yellow & green skin, often with a bit of blush on one side. Once cut open (or better yet, bit into!) the flesh inside the apple is a deep pink color. The fresh juice pressed from these apples is a beautiful, dark red color. After fermentation, the cider retains a pink rosé color to it. Dry and slightly tart with red berry and citrus notes - this Dragon's Head example of the Airlie Red is delightful!
We highly recommend visiting Dragon's Head's orchard and cidery during the summer, and getting out to Vashon Island and dining at their tasting room now open year-round in downtown Vashon!
