Greenwood Cider - Kingston Black Single-Varietal (750 mL)
Greenwood Cider - Kingston Black Single-Varietal (750 mL)
Greenwood Cider's Kingston Black is a Single-varietal cider made from 100% Kingston Black apples - grown by two different orchards in Western Washington. Off-dry, rich, and robust, it is an expression of the famed bittersharp apple and the terroir of the Western Washington orchards where these apples were grown. Well-balanced acid and tannins, with notes of vanilla, brown sugar, and dried apples.
About Greenwood Cider: Founded in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle in 2015, Greenwood Cider turn waste into resource by making cider from forgotten and foraged fruits picked from around the city and deep within the Pacific Northwest forest. That approach continues today. In addition to the more standard Washington apples, they use apples from local farms, small homesteads, and abandoned orchards. Greenwood Cider presses the fruit and crafts all of their small batch ciders in the Seattle city limits - which is unique compared to the larger brands that buy truckloads of juice and fruit purees to manufacture their ciders. It's an uncompromising blend of modern tastes and traditional cider-making. Their cider releases range from traditional ciders made with cider specific and heirloom apple varieties, to modern style ciders that are lower in complexity and flavored with other fruits and botanicals. They're one of a small number of cideries that make a wide range of many different cider styles very well.
