Two Broads Ciderworks - Bridge Block Dry (500 mL)
Two Broads Ciderworks - Bridge Block Dry (500 mL)
Two Broad's Bridge Block Dry is their flagship dry cider, made from mostly Braeburn apples, plus a bit of Granny Smith and Empire apples. The fruit was grown in their own managed, dry-farmed orchard.
From Two Broads: Since our first harvest from the orchard we lease from the Land Conservancy we have made a wild fermented field blend. We feel like this style reflects the true character of the orchard. It was a mild year in 2024, allowing us to continue to dry-farm, which makes these apples the best Braeburn we've ever had. The result is a bright, lemony, medium bodied cider, with noticeable barrel character on the finish.
Pairings: green curry, apricot tart, caesar salad with extra parmesan, triple cream brie
About Two Broads Ciderworks: Maggie, a biologist and gardener, and Morgan, a home brewer and engineer, met as students. They fell in love, and many of their mutual interests began to align. Maggie learned more about beer and how to homebrew. Morgan learned about local flora and fauna and gardening. As they explored California's San Luis Obispo county, they happened upon See Canyon Cider, and in its beautiful orchards discovered they loved heirloom apples. They made their first hard cider with the juice pressed from See Canyon apples. Fast forward to the present. Morgan and Maggie have committed their lives to each other and to making great cider for their community. Their goal: to source local fruit to make delicious ciders in San Luis Obispo, to promote the appreciation of good cider, and to nurture the growth of heirloom cider apple production locally.
