Snow Capped Cider - Wilde Woods (750 mL)
Snow Capped Cider - Wilde Woods (750 mL)
Snow Capped Cider's Wilde Woods is cider made from a blend of wild & forgotten local orchard apples from Colorado's Western Slope. Natural / wild fermentation. This cider is dry and unfiltered, resulting in a highly complex traditional style.
A rare treat, this award winning cider (GLINTCAP Silver Award for High Tannin Dry) is otherwise exclusively available to members of Snow Capped's own cider club or by visiting their tasting room.ย
About Snow Capped Cider: Kari Williams' family has owned the orchards she now manages for more than 5 generations - though she's the first to use the apples for cider. Snow Capped Cider is crafted at an impressive elevation of 6,130 feet, making it one of the highest-elevation orchards and cideries in the world. Nestled at the base of the Grand Mesa - the largest flat-topped mountain in the world - on Coloradoโs Western Slope. Their unique terroir benefits from high altitude, warm days, cool nights, and gravity-fed mountain water - which impacts the fruit in such a way that makes for excellent ciders. Their cider apples are grown exclusively in Colorado, adhering to traditional English and French orchard practices. Committed to sustainability, they craft high-quality ciders using sustainable farming practices, making Snow Capped Cider a zero-waste company.ย
Snow Capped has been on an impressive run the last few years at various Cider competitions, winning several awards for many of their recent releases.ย
