RAW Cider - Kearn's Estate Blend (750 mL)
RAW Cider - Kearn's Estate Blend (750 mL)
RAW Cider Company's Kearn's Estate Blend is made with a select blend of English cider apple varieties from RAW's home orchard in Dayton, Oregon. This annual release exclusively features apples from the RAW estate orchard, though the blend will vary form year-to-year based on what the orchard gives. We've had the pleasure of tasting each vintage. Fermented with Native Yeast naturally on the apples at harvest. Always exceptional.
We highly recommend trying a bottle of each vintage. Vintage refers to the harvest season, dates on the bottle may list the following year as "Bottled On" date (e.g. the 2023 vintage says Bottled August 2024).
2023 Vintage: Blend of primarily Kingston Black apples (60%) then an equal balance of Nehou, Yarlington Mill, and Ashmead's Kernel. A dash of fresh crabapple juice is added at bottling to anturally back sweeten the cider. Aromas of baked apple, fresh apple juice, and caramel. On the palate, forward notes of dried apple, bittersweets, and a citrus medley. Notes of floral, grapefruit, sweet tart candy, fruit leather, clove, apricot, granite, butterscotch, and faint orchard floor. A lingering finish of apple skins and grapefruit peel. 8% ABV.
2024 Vintage: A blend of Kingston Black (75%), and equal parts Yarlington Mill and Ashmead's Kernel making up the remaining 25%. This dry cider is an elegant amber color with rich apple flavor. Butterscotch and madeleine cookie aromatics. Flavors of lightly toasted caramel, balanced bitterness, acid, and astringency.
